#FEMUN_WINNERS: Markus Schwaiger

Only one week left until the beginning of the Far Eastern Model UN 2018, hence, it is time to fill the gaps in your research, repeat your speeches or, in case, come up with it, and perfect your proposals. Nevertheless, do not work too hard, find time for a rest and spend a minute of it reading the story of the last but not the least winner of FEMUN 2017.

Please, welcome Mr. Markus Schwaiger.

1. What did you expect from FEMUN 2017?

«Actually, I didn’t know what to expect from the Conference because FEMUN 2017 became my first Model UN experience.»

2. How it was in reality?

«It was really intense! I like the «UN4MUN» format and, if to compare a traditional MUN procedure (which I experienced together with MUNRFE delegation to JOINMUN 2017 in Indonesia) and the UN4MUN approach, I prefer the second one.»

3. How many sleepless nights did you have during preparation for the Conference?

«I cannot say for sure but there were 2 or 3 sleepless nights.»

4. SC or GA? Why?

«Security Council - because I liked the topic more than the GA’s ones. Actually, FEMUN 2017 was my first MUN, hence, I did not know a lot about the difference between SC and GA before I participated.»

5. What can you say to the participants of FEMUN 2018?

«If you really want to deepen your knowledge in the particular field - read political and scientific articles about the topic. And do not focus only on the victory: if you try too hard you won’t have fun at all but having fun is quite important.»
