- What is the Far Eastern Model UN?
FEMUN 2020 is the only MUN Conference where participants try on the role of a real diplomat representing the interests of a chosen state while discussing global agendas in one of the available UN Committees. The eventual aim of each Committee is to reach a consensus on the discussed agenda item.
2. Who is the Head Delegate?
The Head Delegate is one person from your delegation (team) who will be contacted by the Secretariat about organizational issues. If you apply as an individual delegate, you by yourself are a head delegate.
3. Where I can find the list of Committees and Agenda items?
All information about the Conference you can find in the official MUNRFE website in the section Far Eastern Model UN 2020 (http://munrfe.ru/femun). The Country Matrix with available countries and Committees you can find in the Registration Form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfKBoWdRkRjiRrVORPI-L7QF2dYhaS4AtZWpxIVB1e2z8Ihag/viewform).
4. What should I do to register for the Conference?
First, you should decide whether you would like to be an individual delegate or a part of the delegation. Second, you need to choose a preferable country and Committee as well as to write a Motivational letter. Third, you should fill in the application form and wait for the response from the Secretary-General.
5. What is the deadline for Registration?
The deadline for the registration process is April 20, 2020. However, you would like to participate in the Grant Competition and receive one-side travel expenses to Vladivostok or free accommodation during the Conference at FEFU Hotel Complex, you need to hurry up as the deadline for Grant Competition is April 12, 2020.
6. Will the COVID-19 affect the implementation of the Conference? Is there a possibility for the event to be postponed?
The Secretariat understand the peculiarities of the situation as well as its dynamic character. Hence, we monitor health situation which changes daily and try to stay abreast of emerging information and provide transparency about our decisions.
Currently, we plan to conduct the event as scheduled, but in case of any changes, we will try our best to minimize consequences brought by Coronavirus disease. If any changes concerning the situation will occur, participants will be contacted by the Secretariat.
